Jackie studied and graduated from the British School of Osteopathy, where she worked in their expectant
mothers, childrens, old age and general clinics.
She has experience working with a wide variety of patients and conditions; and is particularly interested in sporting injuries (especially hockey - being a keen hockey player herself), expectant mothers, and in treating Chronic Low Back pain which was the basis of her degree dissertation. Having played competitive sport for many years, and seen many injuries (both her own and her friends), and having seen how alleopathic medicine treats sports injuries, Jackie became interested in what alternative medicine had to offer. Prior to studying to become an osteopath Jackie studied Psychology and Anthropology which led to working in Human Resources and IT Project Management for a number of Blue Chip organisations. This involved many long hours and plenty of travelling, both by air and road, often leading to the common problems osteopaths see in their clinics today as a result of the demands of everyday life now. read less |
